Why Elon Musk is a Guy the World Should Worry About

The name Elon Musk has become so common that even the poorest know that name: the billionaire “real-life Iron Man” who’s all about the next step in Humanity. But how much of a white knight is Elon Musk really? Today, we will explore a few controversies that shadow this ultrafamous profile.

But let’s get to know the man a little bit first. Born in South Africa in 1971, Elon Musk grew up with a younger brother and a sister; all offspring of an electromechanical engineer and a Canadian supermodel. Legend is, being interested in computers from early childhood, a 12-year-old Elon sold his first video game to a company for $500… and never had to look back thence. But even roses have nettles; don’t they?

The SpaceX Controversy

SpaceX, mankind’s travel agent to the universe; completely privately funded with no pressure on the taxpayers. But is it? Its only significant customer so far is NASA, and they run on taxpayer money sure as sunlight! How come Musk suggests, then, that the taxpayers are never affected by his company?

It goes even deeper. Nasa invests in SpaceX even before it delivers anything — according to their own website — and they have invested millions in SpaceX just to get it up and running. The claim that SpaceX is a purely commercial venture, then, falls flat on its face. 

The Flight Attendant Scandal

Allegedly, Musk has to settle a sexual misconduct case with a SpaceX flight attendant (kind of reflects the company’s morality again, doesn’t it?). According to her, Musk had exposed himself to her and asked for sexual favors, going as far as touching her inappropriately. The case, however, got squashed under a ton of settlement money. 

Tesla Naming Controversy

It is true that if you look hard enough you will discover conspiracy theories everywhere, but some of them are real. Judge this one for yourself. Elon Musk, without a doubt, talks about sex a lot. And his Tesla car series are enumerated — wait for it — Tesla Model S, Model 3, and Model X. Get it? S3X! Even the car’s advertisement graphics says it pretty bluntly. Why the obsession, Musk? Hint hint?

Live-action Marijuana

Not many people know this, but the superfamous role-model-of-many founder of SpaceX and Tesla, actually smoked weed on tv. Yes, that’s right. In 2018, Musk was doing a guest appearance on comedian Joe Rogan’s YouTube show. Joe offered him a joint, and instead of refusing it like a famous businessman, political-tide-turner and role model should, Musk happily took a drag. 

Though he said later that it was his first time, Musk once confided that he does take other drugs to ‘balance out’ his ultrabusy timeline. Also, those of you who saw the clip and are familiar with the, er, recreation — does it look like a first-time drag to you?

Wrapping Up

There are many who will say that there will always be some shadow under the lamp and you can’t eat chicken without killing it first. About Elon Musk’s controversies though, there is a solid answer — if he’s the builder of tomorrow, why then, he’s just going to invent holographic lights and create artificial meat!

Joking aside, we’d suggest you take everything Elon Musk says with some pinches of salt. Nobody becomes a billionaire on this planet without a few dark secrets, and certainly not by being entirely honest and upfront. That’s a given for any billionaire out there, and mister E. R. Musk is no exception at all. 

But don’t let that deter you from following in his footsteps. Musk is certainly an extremely capable and ambitious person who may be the closest we can have running for being the King of Humans. Even with flaws, his track record and ambitions are formidable enough to make any of his rivals have a second thought. So, follow in his footsteps all right — but just don’t tread on others’ feet, okay?
